day 2 – a retrospective

2 November, 2006

So I’ve reached the second day of NaBloPoMo, and I’m already looking back. But don’t fret – I’m not jumping the shark just yet.

In response to yesterday’s comments, I’d like the thank you all (both) for the wonderful ideas. I have a few tricks up my sleeve now. Admittedly, there’s no real point in hiding them up my sleeve, when they’re written there for all to see.

There is one that needs to be addressed immediately. Due to the fact that I do not have an ‘about’ page that lets people know who I am, and that I expect to amass an army of new NaBloPoMo readers, I thought it would be wise to include my autobiography, in 6 words. Alas, I have two versions that I cannot choose between, which do you prefer?

Stole brother’s nickname, still not dead
Grew up. Got Married. Had Son

I like the optimism of the first, as the second seems to make it feel a bit final, which it is (hopefully) not.

But really 6 words isn’t much. Maybe I should Haiku my life?

Grew up as a boy
Became a foolish young man
Getting wiser now

Enough silliness for now. Keep your eyes open and your feed-readers feeding, and salivate with anticipation for my future posts about beer, HardMan, cheesecake, and much, much more.

nice! maybe you could have a haiku of the week, or a 10 word story of the week?

  4. bookboy Says:

“Fell down. Squashed nose. Look odd.”
